The shot-blast machine is made of structural steel. This creates an extremely solid construction, which can easily house the GIETART high capacity turbines, safely avoiding material stress. GIETART can supply the shot blast machines of the GW range with four different turbines. High capacity machines are equipped with turbines of the type C500 or C540. The inside of the GIETART shot-blast machine is covered with wear-resistant manganese steel onto which wear strips have been bolted. After shot-blasting a brush-blowoff plant can be installed to remove the shot from plates and profiles.
The GIETART turbines have eight blades fitted into the two discs, which assures a concentrated hot spot. With all turbines the shot is fed into the centre and accelerated by means of an impeller. The turbines can be adjusted automatically. The GIETART turbines are available up to 55 kW.
Every layout engineered by GIETART is custom tailored to the specific operations of our customers.
The pre-heater heats the steel to a temperature of approx. 35 degrees Celsius in order to dry the material and to heat it up, at the same time achieving quick drying of the primer.
In the heart of the surface treatment system stands the shot-blast process with shot-blast machine and brush-blowoff plant. To protect the operator a noise-protection can be installed. Dust emissions are controlled in the cartridge filter to meet the latest environmental standards.
Water based paints as we I as conventional paints can be used in the spraying cabinet. Water or paint along the side-walls and floor reduces maintenance. Overspray will be minimised by electrical devices. To dry the material an after dry-tunnel can be installed. The transport of the material will take place by a chainconveyor, which minimises paint damages.
The GIETART transport system links the different modules. GIETART therefore supplies heavy-duty roller conveyors. Every drive is controlled by a frequency converter. Hydraulic GIETART crosstransport systems allow a smooth loading and unloading.
GIETART has two more ranges of shot-blasters, one range for companies with moderate production levels and another range of construction blasters. The CM or CH range construction shot-blasters can be applied for the shotblasting of complete steel constructions. The turbines, which are arranged diagonally to the direction of passage, guarantee a smooth blasting of steel constructions as columns or frames. Separate brochures are available for these GIETART ranges. |
